The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. From getting started with a business, to working with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips- you will have a blast! Course Topics Include Babysitting as a business Safety and injury prevention guidelines and best practices Leadership strategies to build confidence when responding to conflict Tips on age-appropriate play How to build rapport and stay engaged with children Basic caregiving skills such as feeding, burping, diapering, and safe sleep practices Basic first aid for common incidents

In this class, you will receive general information and resources regarding choking risk awareness and prevention. This course meets the Arizona ADH requirements for Choking and Aspiration.

Following this training, participants will have an understanding of accountability, responsibilities, documentation requirements, and record retention. This course meets the Arizona ADH requirements for Client Fund Training.

Most healthcare and human services workers dealing with the effects of Compassion Fatigue usually resort to doing what they’ve always done: Work harder and give more until they are completely tapped out. Compassion Fatigue is not just a “fluffy” term for burnout. It depletes not just your mind and your body, but the very core of who you are as a human being-your emotions, your soul. Oftentimes taking the form of disdain for the frailty of humanity, this psychological foe can lead a person, who at one time entered the field of healthcare out of compassion, to walk away cynical and jaded.  Whether you’re caring for a friend or family member with a terminal illness or you’re a trained medical professional, compassion fatigue is one of the deadliest adversaries any healthcare personnel can face.

NEW! The Conflict in the Workplace course examines how conflict impacts the workplace each day. Throughout this course, workplace conflict is discussed. This course is designed to allow the participant to examine their conflict style in relationship to the conflict styles of their peers, leaders, and customers. At the end of this course, the participant will apply the information learned to a past or current workplace situation.   This course is presented by Dr. Lori Wieters, MBA, PhD, Industrial/Organizational Psychologist. Dr. Wieters has more than 15 years of training, leadership development, and organizational change expertise working in a variety of industries. As an I/O Psychologist, Dr. Wieters specializes in diagnosing human behaviors that are creating complexity in our current workplaces. Workplaces come in many varieties, in offices, homes, and on-the-go. Work is happening everywhere, hence,, the potential for human interaction, misunderstanding, andconflict is greater now than ever. Dr. Wieters provides a holistic approach to human performance in the workplace, wherever the workplace may be located. 

This course provides an overview of everything caregivers need to know to keep themselves and members from COVID. We will discuss symptoms, treatments, PPE, Covid long-haulers, and the COVID vaccines.

Course Content for ASHI CPR/AEDGood Samaritan Law, complications of CPR, stroke, heart attack, CPR barriers, choking, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and CPR for the adult, child and infant.Each student will be required to practice hands-on CPR skills in this course. Duration: Approximately 2 hoursThis certification is valid for 2 years.Audience: Anyone needing a certification that specifically states "CPR/AED” WE CAN COME TO YOU!Call our office if you have alarge group and would like aninstructor to come to your facility. This class does not include First Aid.
